 Sub: Invitation for Participation in C.B.S.E. Swimming National 2022 - 23 Competition

 Dear Sir/Madam,

 We are pleased to inform you that our school has been entrusted with the responsibility of organizing and conducting the C.B.S.E. Swimming National 2022 - 23 Competition for students (Boys & Girls) in four categories:

  1. Under 11 years: Born on or after 01.01.2011
  2. Under 14 years: Born on or after 01.01.2008
  3. Under 17 years: Born on or after 01.01.2005
  4. Under 19 years: Born on or after 01.01.2003

Therefore, on behalf of the CBSE, the School Management, Staff, and Students of Genius English Medium School Kalawad Rd, Near Cosmoplex Cinema, Mota Mava, Rajkot, Gujarat take this opportunity to extend our warm invitation to you and your teams to the Championship.

The participating teams have to report on 20-01-2023 on the competition venue. The tournament will begin, with the INAUGURAL CEREMONY on 21 January 2023. For this purpose, the participating teams are requested to bring one school flag and banner bearing the name of their school, for March Past and various other ceremonies. The closing ceremony will be held on 24 January 2023.

 

The team officials along with the teams have to report at the venue on 20th January by 3.00 p.m. for registration and other official procedures. The officials` meeting will be at 5.00 p.m. This is compulsory for all team officials. Teams with girls as participants should be accompanied by a lady coach. You are requested to send us your confirmation & other details latest by 13th January 2023 at the school mail (event@geniusschool.co.in) positively. Without the confirmation details, students shall not be allowed to participate in the Nationals.

 

All the details will be put up on the School`s website from time to time. For the smooth management of the tournament, it is our humble request to mail us (event@geniusschool.co.in) a consent letter/confirmation letter, as soon as possible. You are also requested to share your travel details with us through the mail (event@geniusschool.co.in) latest by 13 Jan 2023. The tournament will be conducted as per the CBSE’s rules and regulations.  For more details, you are requested to visit www.cbsegames.in. GENERAL GUIDELINES

 

PARTICIPATING SCHOOL (Players)

  1. No school will be permitted to participate unless they fill the online discipline-wise Entry Proformae and by-hand Entry Proformae would not be accepted.
  2. In no circumstances the composition of team shall change from Cluster/Zone to National. In extra ordinary circumstances the changes may be permitted, but only with prior permission from the CBSE, in writing.
  3. All expenses on items like travel, food, kit etc will have to be borne by the participating School.
  4. No team will be permitted to participate unless accompanied by a teacher/coach designated by the participating school Principal.
  5. The team has to bring mosquito repellent (e.g. All Out, Goodnight), lock & Key, torch, soap, toothpaste, own towels & top sheets (for hygiene), and any particular medicine required by players. The participating teams are not allowed to carry any jewelry, hard cash, weapons, the organizing school will not be responsible for the loss/misplacement of any valuable items or belongings of the team. Responsibility to look after mobiles, cameras, cash, and belonging lies solely on the participants.
  6. All the outstation teams of boys and girls will be lodged separately in the decided premises. The team who needs stay facility must inform on or before 13th January 2023.
  7. Each participant/school must remit Rs. 350.00 per head per day against lodging and boarding. Money will be collected against boarding and lodging on a full-day basis and no part payment will be collected and the participating schools will not insist on for refund of part
  8. It is compulsory for outstation teams staying in the decided premises to have their meals on the
  9. Team coaches, managers, and participants shall be provided meals as per the menu at a nominal charge of Rs 350/- per head, per day including bedding charges. Meals/snacks would be served as per the scheduled timings only. The Team Manager should purchase food coupon(s) from the ‘Registration Counter’ in advance.
  10. For local teams provision of meals will be made on their prior intimation.
  11. The school will operate a tuck shop where students can buy water bottles, juices, and other eatables in cash.
  12. Dining on the site arranged by the host school is mandatory for the teams that opt to stay in the facility provided for accommodation. Please note that once your school offers its consent to take meals on the site it cannot be altered later on to avoid any wastage on the host school.
  13. It is not obligatory on the part of the Organizing School to provide food & transport facilities for schools/teams making their own stay arrangements. Also, it is the responsibility of the school/teams staying outside, to collect information in regard to matches/fixtures/programs,
  14. Every participant team shall carry with them the required documents as mentioned under the title “Eligibility”.
  15. Every team will carry their school flag, for the purpose of March past and to be used during the various ceremonies. Participation in March past is compulsory, failing which their right to participate can be forfeited.
  16. Any non-designated person accompanying the team will not be entertained for any matter at the venue and will not be permitted to stay on the premises.
  17. In case the player/team is being accompanied only by the parent, it should be informed by the Principal of participating school in writing.

ACCREDITED REPRESENTATIVES (TEACHER/COACH/MANAGER)

  1. All the teams shall be accompanied by a Teacher/Coach/Manager designated by the participating school Principal.
  2. No team will be permitted to participate without an accompanying official.
  3. No team shall be accompanied by more than two officials.
  4. No team shall be accompanied by any parent. However, if a parent is accompanying the team, such information may be provided by the school on the school letterhead.
  5. In the case of Girls participants, one of the accompanying officials must be a female.
  6. The officials accompanying the team shall have a valid Identity Card issued by their school Principal.
  7. No extra person shall be permitted to stay on decided premises and on the playing field along with the teams.
  8. Whatever the reason may be, on-the-spot entry and late entry will not be entertained.
  9. If a school, after filling in its entry, wishes to withdraw from a tournament, it shall give a written request of its intention to do so to the Organizing Committee.

COLOURS

  1. All the participating teams shall compete in the Inter-School tournament in their respective playing uniform with the prescribed color of their school and numbered.
  2. In case of clash of playing jersey color, it shall be decided by the spin of coin as to which team will have to change playing uniform.

ENTRIES

  1. Each school shall be entitled to enter only one team or individual for each tournament/meet/event.
  2. A junior player can be permitted to play in senior age group, and then the participation in the original group will be forfeited.
  3. Whatsoever the reason may be, on the spot entry and late entry will not be entertained.

WITHDRAWING SCHOOL

  1. If a school, after filling-in its entry, wishes to withdraw from a tournament/meet, it shall give a written request of its intention to do so to the Organizing Secretary/School.
  2. School withdrawing without informing/requesting the Organizing school, will be penalized with a penalty or Rs.1000/-.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Only bonafide students shall be eligible to participate in the Inter-School tournaments/meets. Feeding any non bonafide student shall lead to disqualification of the team.
  2. A student, who has failed twice in a particular class, shall no more be eligible to participate.
  3. The original eligibility Performa of the Participants qualifying to participate from Cluster/Zone level to National level will have to be certified by the Organizing school at the Cluster/Zone level as the case may be and forwarded to the National Organizing School, immediately after their Cluster/Zone level competition is over.
  4. The Participant should be within the particular age group on 31 December 2022.
  • Incomplete information in any respect is liable for disqualification of the team.
  • Any violation of eligibility (over age or Impersonation) shall be dealt with according to the rules.
  • Medical checkups may also be applied by the Jury of Appeal appointed by the Organizing school in cases of overage suspicion/protest..
  • All the supporting papers verifying the age of the player, in original, as per the CBSE Guidelines & Rules shall be carried personally by the Team Manager/Coach while reporting for participation. The participants must be physically present for reporting one day prior to the commencement of the event.
  • The player’s right to participate forfeits if fails to produce the papers supporting the eligibility in Original on demand.
  • Any Participant not fulfilling the eligibility criteria before the commencement of the championship shall not be permitted to participate.

 

IMPORTANT: IT SHALL BE MANDATORY FOR ALL THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING ON ARRIVAL AT VENUE-

  1. To provide the documents for verification in original if asked for.
  2. To supply the team photo with the school Principal along with the entry Performa, countersigned by the Principal.
  3. Students/players studying in class IX and above needs to provide the CBSE registration number.
  4. All the supporting Documents verifying the age of the player in original/ attested by the principal as per the CBSE Guidelines & Rules shall be carried personally by the Team Manager/Coach while reporting for participation:-
    • Attested photocopy of Birth certificate issued by State Government duly attested by Head of the Institution/Gazetted officer.
    • Aadhaar Card.
    • Identity Card of school.
    • X Class Pass Certificate (in case of XI & XII Class students)
    • CBSE Registration number (for students studying in 9th and above)
    • The team photo with the Principal and photograph of the Coach/Manager in the given format duly attested by the Principal.
    • Online participant’s entry proforma.
    • Eligibility performa filled-in online and countersigned by the Principal with the school seal.
    • To provide original documents for verification (If asked for).
  5. The Eligibility/Entry Performa shall include the event category in which the athlete wishes to participate.

 

DISQUALIFICATIONS 

  1. A player/team may be disqualified/scratched for the following reasons.

    - If the ineligibility of any member of the team is detected.

    - Inclusion of non bonafide students in the team.

    - Misbehavior on the ground by the player or accompanying official.

    - Use of abusive language by the player or accompanying official.

    - Misbehavior with Officials/Opponents by the player or accompanying official.

    - Indiscipline at the place of stay by the player or accompanying official.

    - Damaging the accommodation property.

    - Indiscipline during the Opening and Closing ceremonies by players or accompanying official.

    - Non-participation in March Past.

2. Teams should report to the venue 30 minutes prior to the event. If any team fails to report in time to start the event shall not be entertained at all.

PROTEST

Protest of any nature in connection with the tournament shall be in writing and must reach the Organizing Secretary and CBSE Observer within one hour of the declaration of the result, duly accompanied by a fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand). 

   

  1. Such a protest will be considered by a Jury of Appeal, consisting of the following:-

     1. Principal, Organizing School 2. Organizing Secretary 3. CBSE Observer 4. One or two technically qualified People present at the venue.

  2. The parties under dispute may be heard before deciding on the issue. In case the protest is uphold, the protest fee shall be refunded to the protesting school otherwise the fee shall be forfeited.
  3. The decision taken by the Jury of Appeal will be final and binding.
  4. The decision, together with full facts of the protest may immediately be reported to the Deputy Director (Sports) CBSE.
