BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Every year, on the birthday of the honorable Chairman of Genius Group of Institutions-Shri D. V. Mehta is marked with organizing of Blood Donation Camp in the campus of Genius School. The students of Grade 9-12 are explained the Blood Grouping of Humans by showing them the procedures of their own blood. They are also explained the process of Blood collection to the different ways in which it can be useful. The camp is arranged with the help of students, parents and the section heads of both the schools. Students gift Thank-You cards to the donors. The whole camp is carried out under the guidance of a team from Field Marshal Blood Bank.
Genius Gaushala: Shala Mein Gaushala
One more dream of Genius Group of Institutions: Genius Gaushala setup came true. This is a modern concept with traditional touch and the aim behind the idea of this concept is to teach the importance and moral values to our young generation. The inauguration was done by the Hon. State Education Minister Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama who also shared the importance of Cow in today’s era alongwith some interesting facts.
PLANTATION & SAPLING DISTRIBUTION
The students, Staff Members and the Parents plant saplings in the School Campus. It is truly said, ‘As you sow, so shall you reap’. The plantation done by the Staff Members will definitely be a proud asset of the School after it blossoms. The saplings are also distributed to the students by the School.
CLEANING ACTIVITY
The students are taught the importance of “Cleanliness” with the help of Cleaning Activity at various places in the city. The students prepare drama and skits and demonstrate it for the public awareness.
DISTRIBUTION TO THE NEEDY
From time to time students bring food, used clothes and toys from home which is distributed to the needy. Regularly, a group of students visit orphanages or some or the other institution and offer food to the needy.
CHITRANAGARI
As a part of Swachchhta Abhiyan, Rajkot Municipal Corporation has initiated Chitranagari concept wherein the walls of the general building of Rajkot City are decorated with beautiful paintings. The students of School have supported in this noble cause and put their creativity in a form.
FISH FEEDING & BIRD FEEDING
Each day we send a group of young students accompanied by their class teacher to feed the birds and animals at various parts of the city. We endeavor to create an atmosphere which may enable the students to grow in Love of God and understand the essential unity of all life and we are regularly involved in this noble cause. We keep aside a part for the dumb living creatures and we have started a Jiv-Daya Van which regularly feeds the fishes, birds and animals at Nyari Dam. We have started giving water pots since last many years to all our students and staff and parents too who come to inquire for new admissions specially in summer season.
No Drop out Campaign
Genius Group of Institutions and Rajkot Self-Finance School Management Association took up the initiative to spread the awareness of No-Drop out Campaign to encourage the students to join in the Online Studies. The initiative got a huge response and was appreciated by the Hon. Education Minister of Gujarat as well as the Hon. Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Food Packet Distribution to the Needy in Covid
Every 1500 food packets were prepared in the School Campus and were distributed to the needy and slum areas surrounding the School campus and across Rajkot city during the Lockdown phase. The initiative was carried out with the support of Rajkot Self Finance School Management Association and Share with Smile Team.
Genius Ujaas Center
The doors of the School were let open for the ‘UJAAS’ initiative by Genius Group of Institutions by setting up a Counseling Centre at Genius School. The initiative was to counsel the students aged 2 to 18 years from different aspects and problems faced during the Covid lockdown. The program was initiated by Rajkot Self Finance School Management Association and Psychology Department, Saurashtra University.
